Bald Mountain, affectionately known as Baldy, is a massive looming ridge-line that rises up immediately to the east of Breckenridge. It is visible from I-70 in Frisco and from the Summit Cove neighborhood, however it appears as a single peak from those vantage points. It is only when viewed broadside that Baldy can be appreciated for the significant chunk of a 6 mile long ridge-line that it is. After Baldy's highest peak at 13,618ft, the ridge dips into a 12,000ft saddle before rising again as Boreas Mountain.
